Penuhanan Kiai

Kiai PENUHANAN

When the Prophet recited the word of God: "They made the priests, and monks-rahibnya as god but Allah ...." (At-Tawbah: 31). Adi bin Hatim said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used (the Christians) do not worship them (the pastors and Christian religious leaders)." He said, "Are not they justify what Allah has forbidden, and forbid what is permissible God?" Adi bin Hatim said, "yeah, right." said the Prophet, "That form of worship of them." (Narrated by At-Tarmidzi of Adi bin Hatim)
I wrote this paper because it is based on the perceived concerns of unhealthy symptoms partially surrounding communities. Where obedience to religious leaders and scholars, not anymore because right or wrong, but because of the similarity factor of view and a narrow class of fanaticism. Pleading desperately and plug body by one of the supporters of charismatic leaders, seem to have no rational longer.
As it relates to faith, either directly or indirectly, the above issues need to be addressed. Because the act has been suggestive shirk. One thing that was never expected by a believer, the pelakupun would not do it if only to know that it is shirk. Because Shirk is a sin that has no forgiveness super great. More dangerous, shirk profile is very smooth, making the perpetrators do not feel it.
I realize that there are still many shortcomings and weaknesses will be writing this. So I would be very grateful if anyone wants to straighten this paper. Hopefully, this paper can provide benefits for all. Amen.


A. Understanding Kiai
According to Big Indonesian Dictionary, means kiai term for pious ulama (religious scholars in Islam), religious leaders, teachers designation for witchcraft (shaman, etc.), the district (South Kalimantan), the name that started the names of objects that are considered auspicious ( weapons, gamelan, etc.), the name pseudonym for tiger (if the person through the woods).
According to Ismail Ibn Qayyim, in his book Kiai Penghulu Java, Role in the Colonial Period to mention that in the development of Indonesian society in general found some degree designation reserved for the clergy. For example, in West Java (Sunda) people call Ajengan, in the region called Buya West Sumatra, Lombok and Nusa Tenggara region or around the person called by Mr Guru.
Especially for the Java community, a title reserved for the clergy, among others Wali. This title is usually given to scholars who have achieved a high level, have outstanding personal abilities.
In addition, there is a designation Kiai, which is a title of honor for the clergy in general. Therefore, it is often found in rural Java calls or Ki Ki Ageng Ageng / Ki Gede, also Kiai Hajj. (Ismail, 1977: 62)
B. Terminology God
According to Big Indonesian Dictionary, God has a sense of something that is believed, adored, and worshiped by humans as the Almighty, Almighty, etc., something that is considered as God.
While God in Arabic is Al-Illah or Ar-Rabb. In the dictionary Al-Munfid Fi Al-Lughati wa Al-knows best, it is said that God is something that is worshiped (Jaiz, 2005: 47). In other words, that something is God's worship. It does not matter if he can see or not, whether he be a god on his own, or did he dipertuhankan without volition.
Whatever is the god worshiped by humans, although people do not realize that worship is deify him. It is more common in people of the heretic, that indirectly they have divinize people who have died. Even people who had died was a great scholar, pious, and leading, that they really do not want dipertuhankan.
The penuhanan the people and creatures that were still alive, maybe the people who do not know what it is menuhankannya god, and not aware of their penuhanan. Many factors can make a person dituhankan. For example, because the blue blood factor, stature, keKiaiannya, scientific, and other factors that are difficult to explain.
C. Between Kiai and Cult Penuhanan
Too much is when should compare between Kiai and God. As in QS. Ash-Shura verse 11: laisa kamitsilihi syai '(There is nothing similar to Him). But what may make, it seems there are symptoms of many people who have started the confusion to distinguish what is of God and what it Kiai. They divinize God, but they also divinize Kiai. They believe in the word of God, but they also believe in the word of Kiai. They carry out the Lord's command, but they also carry out orders Kiai though contrary to God's commands.
There are a number of similarities and differences that they make between Kiai and God, so many people are confused, which one should "dituhankan", God (Allah) or Kiai? Similarly, views of the symptoms they exhibit, namely:
a. Equally honored
Allah is our Lord, is clearly a duty to glorify Him in the highest of any. Similarly, their attitude towards Kiai. He also glorified, even excessive walaupn certain sense it is very embarrassing. For example some Kiai, there Slamet Kiai Kiai Sekati (gamelan), Kiai Tunggul Wulung (flags), Kiai Kencono (CART), Kiai Demak Satan Kober (Kris), and Kiai Kiai-other. The Kiai with various kinds is very honored by the devotees, because it is considered to have spiritual powers and strengths.
b. Equally feared
As God, God has a hell and a painful chastisement. We certainly afraid to put in hell by God. Because of this, God sent His servants to fear Him, and keep yourself and family from the torment of Hell with his pious to Allah.
Similarly, their attitude to Kiai is also feared because fear kuwalat. For example Kiai Kencono much feared because fear was hit. Especially if it coincides with the celebrations. Let alone hit, just stand in front of the people did not dare.
c. Equally justified all his actions
For God is clearly nothing wrong in all of His word, and His actions. He is the All-True, Al-Haqq:
                                                                               
"And the Most High God, king of the real: there is no god but He, the Lord (who have) 'noble Throne." (Surat al-Mu'minun: 116)
While Kiai is also certainly true of his actions? The reality is there are many who always justify it. Look Kiai Slamet located in Solo, whatever he does, no one banned and blame. If he's eating other people's food, instead of someone's angry, even the person feel happy because it is considered a blessing. Even in a one night celebration in Solo Shura, Kiai Slamet proudly walked the next pitch. Behind many people who follow with respect, wherever Kiai runs.
While differences Kiai with God was very clear, as clear differences in the heavens and the earth. Because Kiai is a weak creature and bound with various limitations, whereas Allah is Al-Khaliq the Most Perfect and Most Holy of any shortcomings. These differences include
a. God Never Sleeps.
Allah says about Himself:

"God, no God (worthy of worship) but He is eternal living longer continuous care of (His creatures), no drowsiness or sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. nothing can give intercession with Allah without His permission? He knows what is before them and behind them, and they do not know anything from science but what God wills. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth. and Allah does not feel heavy to maintain them, and Allah is Most High, Most Great. "(Surat al-Baqara: 255)
How Kiai, if I can not sleep but his spiritual and bodily health?
b. Allah is Seer
God sees everything, anyone and anywhere. Both are visible to the eye or not. A physically and spiritually. In the Qur'an Allah mentions a lot of the Seer. For example:

"Carib relatives and your children once in a while there is no benefit you on the Day of Resurrection. He will separate you. and Allah doth see all that ye do. "(Surat al-Mumtahanah: 3)
While the Kiai who dipertuhankan it even claims to have knowledge "sak weruh durunge winarah 'eyesight is still limited and often wrong, in fact it is not uncommon awry. So the policy and the fatwa issued precisely the wrong direction, making restless, divisive, because based on the ananiyah lust (selfish).
c. Holy God of the error.
Whatever God says must be true. Karim Al-Qur'anul is the greatest proof that God does not lie. In the Qur'an, many stories mentioned the Prophet, pious people, and the people earlier. Though both the Prophet and the Companions themselves had never heard those stories. However, when Ahlu the Book of the Jews and the Christians heard this story, they justify it. Because that's exactly what was delivered also to their prophet.
What about the Kiai? Not all the words of the Kiai true. Many words Kiai is wrong, and can lead to disunity. Because Kiai only creature, who can not always speak the truth, and can not guarantee that he is free from errors.
D. Due Penuhanan Kiai
As a man, as good and as smart as any human remains human. He can not put himself in a position that can only be occupied by God. God clothes should only God has the right to wear it, should not be used by humans. Humans are weak only when human rights are violated, then he would be angry. Moreover, God. Such as that related by the Prophet in a hadith Qudsi: "Allah Almighty said: Glory is my glove, and my pride is the scarf. If anyone compete with me in one of these two things, he really would I torment ". (Narrated by Muslim)
As a result of penuhanan Kiai as follows:
1. Not satisfied if there is a parallel to himself.
Of the various attitudes, seems Kiai felt he was better than everyone. They do not want anyone else to like it. They will be angry if anyone criticized him. Moreover, if a chance to criticize different view. That is why the main character Kiai who dipertuhanka reluctant to step down, because no one else willing, if a higher place.
2. Making supporters like her servant.
In reality says that some Kiai utilize fanatical supporters as a shield for him. They know very well, that he says will be heard by his supporters, and what he commands will be obeyed by his followers. So followers like slaves to him.
3. Threatening people who do not obey him
It has been proven many times. They often threaten to arrest those critical him for treason or other charges.
Such is the picture of people who feel dipertuhankan by others. People who dipertuhankan will feel and the longer easement became increasingly arbitrary and do unto others. And worse, many people are not aware of it, so there are still many are deify Kiai.
E. Forms Penuhanan Without Conscious
According to Hartono Ahmad Jaiz citing the opinion of Prof. Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi said that worship to other than Allah, many forms. And the most dangerous is the worship of man to his fellow man. Where humans are subject to any wishes of the worship. People who worshiped it can justify and forbid what he wants. If he had, it must be implemented. And if he was banned, would immediately obeyed. In other words, the 'worshipers' has to give his life to the worship. Nothing can be done by the worshipers than just follow, submissive, obedient, and loyal to those who worshiped. When in fact the only one that has rules and laws in this life, in which man must submit and implement them faithfully is Allah SWT (Jaiz, 2005: 93).
What is done by the followers of kiai, no different to that done by the Christians. They took the freedom that God has given to them, then they give it to the priests and their religious leaders. The pastors that are in control of their lives. That is why Allah denounced them through His Word:

"They make people alimnya and their monks to be God but Allah, and (well they deify) Al was the son of Mary, And they only told to worship the One God, there is no God (worthy of worship) but Him. Most holy God from what they associate. "(At-Tawbah: 31)
One of the great scholars of the Shafi'i madhhab expert commentary, Imam Al-Fakhrurrazi said, understanding this verse means is they tuduk, and obedience to their clergy and their religious leaders in all the commandments and prohibitions.
He also said "If you look carefully, you will surely find schools fanatic diseases, opinions, views, politics, and class, has actually happened and get attacked by a lot of people. This disease has been flowing in their veins. "In other words, that what was said by the followers of the kiai is a form penuhanan unnoticed.
F. Foolishness to the divinize Kiai
Man is distinguished by an animal because reason. Because of reason, man becomes more noble than the creatures of God, if people want to use their minds well. If not, then God is equating people (unbelievers) with animals that can only listen to the call and the call only (Surat al-Baqara: 171). Allah says about the glory of man:

"And Verily We have honored the children of Adam, we carried them on land and at sea, We give them sustenance of the good things, and We favored them with a perfect advantages over many We have created." (Qur'an -Israa ': 70)
The phenomenon penuhanan to fellow humans that we see today, it was an abuse of reason. Obedient, submissive, obedient, and do anything they want kiai without reserve, is a disgrace and stupidity. What good reason is, if it is not used to think, choose and sort out what is wrong and what is right. What good sense that life is only driven and taken advantage of.
So-so we are obedient and loyal to the leader, is the case of Islam, but was limited in the things that are good and not contrary to the commands of Allah and His Messenger. While in things that are not good and the prohibition against Allah and His Messenger, we are forbidden to obey and execute. This is where common functions, used to think, what is good and worth doing, and what is bad and should be abandoned.
If divinize fellow humans (the degree is still the same) it is referred to as a great folly, imagine if penuhanan is done to animals or objects pusak. The name of what is appropriate for that person? Under the line of ignorance?
CONCLUSION
God is something that is worshiped, whether it can be seen or not be seen, either worshiped consciously or unconsciously. As the God of Islam is Allah, the Christian God is Jesus (God and the other two), the Zoroastrian God is Fire, and so on. However, it seems that most of the Islamic world is envious of another faith who has a lot of God, as Christianity has three Lord (Jesus, God and the other two). So the Muslims are willing to compete and increase the number of God with their kiai-kiai.
The state of most of the Islamic world is exactly the same as if only the time of ignorance before when the Prophet was sent as a prophet. People have a lot of ignorance before God (idols), the largest and main Latta and Uzza, and many other small idols which they worshiped. As with most Muslims today. They worship God as God the greatest and foremost, but in addition they also worshiped as gods Kiai their childhood.
However, that does not make sense, why seek God other than Allah the Most Holy of any shortcomings? Instead seek God man, that place is wrong and shortages? When compared, the Kiai God, surely God is far more perfect berribu-thousand fold heaven and earth. Moreover, the form of animal worship Kiai or heirlooms. Why do people worship Animals? Though man is the most perfect creature than animals. Naudzubillah min forbid.
